    NO WAY!!!
    I hope Suki dies.
    I support Tokka!!!!
    TOKKA TOKKA TOKKA!!!!!
    Or, Sopha or something.
    WHATEVER!
Here's how it should go down, Suki and Sokka get cut off or something and Azula corners them. She uses a lightning blast to push Suki off a cliff, and Sokka goes ultra mad. He gets his Boomerang out and fights Azula.

No, way, GO GEORGE! Sorry, random moment, XD
Honestly, Any of them but Aang could die in the series finale (except the Fire lord) That doesn't mean Any of them even will die, or that they should, just that they could.

Aang could die in the final, be sacrificing him self he could save the world. My argument is that it would be better if one (or more) of the main characters during the finally.

That brings up a thought. If Aang were to sacrafice himself to save the world then he would have to be reborn as a Waterbender. Perhaps the creators could take a REALLY sweet approach to that and make Katara be his mother for his next form. And WHO would be the daddy?.....(giggles histerically).....THE CABBAGE MAN!!!!!!

Just kidding. ANYONE could be but I'm aiming for Zuko. (dodges llama)

i hate to break it but ehm aang is the last airbender alive, that sort of means he needs an offspring who has the ability of bending air herself/himself so aang can teach that offspring airbending. If they don't then all the avatars that come after aang will never be able to bend air and there needs to be an airbending avatar right and only one of aangs offsprings could fill in that job...

    see my point.

No I don't, see this thread (http://www.tv.com/avatar-the-last-airbender/show/28841/bending-genetics-or-not/topic/13281-281930/msgs.html) where in the end it is clearly stated that bending is a matter of spirituality (its claimed that was the official website says), basically the all mighty writers decide who bends what. I always have hope that the people at the northern air temple will become air benders (hey they already love to fly) and there is plenty of airbending writing left over describing their telekentic art.

There are five (maybe six) people who have the High Spirits watching out for them and are virtually immortal until the end of the story more than anyone else. This is because they are MAIN CHARACTERS!!!!!111one

    Aang
    Katara

    Toph

    Zuko

    Sokka

Aang, Katara, Toph, and Zuko are especially protected because they are the embodiments of the four nations and elements. The show NEEDS those embodiments, it gives more meaning to four nations, four elements. I was waiting all of season one to find out who the elemental four would be. Now we have 'em. And what's the point of axing off one character so they can just be replaced?

There is a running joke among Naruto fans of something called plot no jutsu, where a main character who SHOULD have died doesn't because he's backed up by plot and being an immortal main character. That's how it is 80% of the time in fiction.

I understand your point and the other points.

but personally i wouldn't write a story about something as indistinct as spirituality... but hell i'm not the writers of the avatar story so can't say anything about it...

What i do want to say about it, is that solid facts are just as much worth as sand and that's kinda sad cuz i like facts in a story it'll make it alot more real, but again that's just my opinion.

ow and one more thing about what pakku said at the beginning of season 2:
Here aang some waterbending scrolls, but don't forget that everyone needs a master.

yes i know not his exact words but i'm just trying to make a point.

This is how it is, Toph is not going to die because Nick wouldnt put something that sad on. Now if this show was Japanese, they would kill her in a heartbeat. Lol

I don't think she should, but she probably will, whether it is before Aang is supposed to??defeats or after..because in?? the swamp, you supposedly saw loved ones lost, and time is irrelevent...thats just speculation though

VERY GOOD point and I totally agree with you! And they can't kill off Sokka, he's the guy that lightens up everything and represents the 'non-benders.' Like in the Chase, when the five of them were all lined up representing the elements (in Sokka's case, non). (Though they did cut him off when the four of them attacked Azula.)

It would be best if Katara bit the dust, in terms of plot.?? But, the show is a slave to the masses.?? No way that she's going to die.

Dpluver101, what are you blind, did you not see the pictures?

I will put a good bet that a major character will dead, on air, over the chance of one of them getting knocked up!

I personally think Nick got in over its head with this one... afterall its already been implied that a son killed his own father (Ozai and the Firelord) and that a mother took her son's place as a sacrifice (Zuko's mother).?? Then there was the time that Jet was gonna wipe out an entire village.

As for the factual deaths and cruelty... Jet's parents, Jet beating the old man, Sokka and Ketara's mom, the skeletons at the Southern Air Temple, Zuko bearing a burn across his face placed there by this father, Captain Zhao blowing up Zuko's ship and the burns resulting on his face from that (those were pretty gross, I'm glad they didn't make those one's permanent), and of course the list could go on....

So is it possible that a main character will meet their fate on screen... I believe it will be up to the creators and Nick won't have much say in it since the Avatar has taken on a life of its own and I'm sure it could easily find a new home.?? Or of course, they could simply continue to "imply" death and be creative about it which is gonna be most likely the case to appease the ratings industry.
