Yeah, Avatar is really pushing the limits. Gyatso's skeleton, talk of spirits (some Religious people would be against that), the fact that a ten-year-old said "floozie." *giggle giggle* *ahem* Who knows? |

Floozie isn't the wrost thing a ten year old girl said on the Nick channel. In one Hey Arlond episode, they let Helga say 'Crap' And I shutter at the mere thought of what Avatar would be like if 4Kids ran it. |

Oh gawd... If 4Kids ran it it would be.. I can't even say it because it's such a horrible thought.. But hey, at least they let stuff in there that 4Kids wouldn't even allow! |

Well if this show was on 4kids most here wouldn't be watching this show! Also I would like to reitterate my point as making Azula the official coolest character this season. Jun tops her slightly overall, though |

Yep, Azula is a cool character... she shows the real nature of the FN, at least what the FL wants it to be. |

This is a very wacky theory but I'm going to try it out. In the seasons of Avatar that we have so far, Uncle Iroh has not once referred to Azula as his neice. Not once. While Zuko has referred to Azula as his sister, and Iroh has referred to Zuko as his nephew. Well, there has been speculation about maybe Zuko being Iroh's biological son, because he had an affair with Ursa. Which would be interesting, and awesome in a way--but I'm kinda of a Urzai fan. So why doesn't Iroh refer to Azula as his niece? Maybe because he's ashamed of her--or doesn't really see her that way, cuz she doesn't seem like family, etc. Or could it be for another reason? After all, Iroh has referred to Ozai as his brother before.... So what if, Azula was really Iroh's daughter? XD Told ya it was wacky, but hey I gotta try. ^_^ Yes, yes there is the fact that Iroh is more like Zuko because they are both kind-hearted (sorta) but just because your like that, doesn't mean you got it from your parents--and if it did, Zuko could've got it from Ursa. Anyway, Zuko doesn't seem too fond of tea; while Azula can be seen drinking tea when Ty Lee poured her some. Coincidence? Maybe. But I've always wondered why Iroh has never called Azula his niece. And then my mind got carried away. |
Wow, you know what I actually think that is odd but it was a very good theory you thought of.?? It sounds too unbelievable to be true, but Azula didn't seem to hate tea at all and Iroh never call Azula his niece but did refer Ozai??as his brother before.?? Boy, Avatar fans will really be more shock than Zuko's decision to join Azula if that did happen.

I like that theory...I've heard it before, but it's still cool. If it were true, then Azula obviosuly doesn't know. After all, how many times has she referred to Iroh as "Uncle" or Zuko as "Brother" or Ozai as "Father" (I could go on lol) ?

The air grows cold.
You think you hear groans off in the distance.
Black arts are at work tonight.
Trust me. You don't want to go to the graveyard.
I greatly admire Princess Azula. She is a very interesting character and her skills in both firebending and people manipulation are truly excellent. I do wish people would stop seeing her so one-dimensionally though. They either think she's a sad little girl inside, or an insane demon of pure evil.
Well, she is evil but she's also a person. Do I even need to say what's wrong with the sad little girl scenario? Azula seems mainly to be a sociopath. In other words, she has a certain difficulty connecting or empathising with people. She believes she is perfect, even when there is evidence to the contrary, and she also seems to have a need to be perfect. Therefore, even when she cares for people, and she does care by the way, she will still order them around as she thinks that is the natural order of things. And if they disobey her orders, she will take it personally, as an act of betrayal to their 'friendship'. The funny thing is, she probably does think of what they had as a proper friendship. She seems to think that the only way of keeping people around her is by making them fear her. Or by offering them something they badly want. She was stung by her mother's favouring of Zuko over her, and also by her mother thinking she was a monster. On the other hand, she genuinely enjoys hurting/terrifying/defeating other people and thought that Zuko's mockery of Ty Lee, despite being obviously meant to hurt the circus girl, was funny. (The Beach)
In other words, there's more to Azula than first meets the eye, but I wish more people would also take into account what does meet their eye before making her into someone she is not.
