This is a thread for fans of Avatar, but particularly for those who gave up on the show for a while and are now, in the wake of comic con and everything, are returning to the fold of Avatar fandom. Fans like myself. If there is anyone else like me here, this is the spot to discuss your harrowing journey through your apostasy!
As for me, myself, I used to be a common poster here. I became too frustrated with the hit-and-miss episode releases, and eventually got absorbed into other shows I like. Recently I saw the previews for the remainder of S3 and am now really exited about their debute, despite the long wait ahead. I have returned to this forum now for the first time in many months to find brand new faces and names surrounding me. To these n00bs, I say welcome and admit that you are much more enduring fans than I am! I salute you!
And of course, to all prodigal fans who may be returning from the harrowing darks of an ATLA-less life, welcome back to the fold, brothers and sisters!
P.S.-I'm not a preacher or anythin, I just used the prodigal references for dramatic effect!

Yeah I was gone for a week or two before comic con. In the 9 month drought I left for a couple months.

You guys are great and all, but with no news things get alittle stale around these parts.

I left these forums for a while over the summer but I kept busy with Avatar-like activities. So I never quite gave up on Avatar.

I, too, left for awhile. Between no new eps to analyze to death, work and school, repetitive and mean-spirited shipping arguments, etc., it just wasn't fun anymore. I am excited about the trailer and all the uber-awesomeness we are in for!

I didn't leave, I just was away from a computer my whole spring break. If I never show up, I didn't give up, i just was grounded or some thing. And welcome back!

I never gave up on Avatar, I'm proud to say. After FBM, I spent some time playing SSBB and chatting about that, but I knew full well the whole time I would come back to Avatar, and hoped I could come back to information soon.

I have never left these forms or gave up on Avatar. I have been a Avatard since the beginning. Actually the 9 month long hiatus made me even more of a Avatard.

I know for me A LOT of the regulars that I often posted with the first year I was here are like Level 345 now and have like 60 billion posts now (Yes, I'm talking about you Sluggmunki_tx LOL) but they hardly EVER post on the general forum anymore.
I've seen Miroku and 13P for the first time in many, many months recently because they popped their heads in on the forum due to the new S3 Finale Avatar news.

Yeah, I got caught up in school (senior year and all)/getting into college/different anime shows/boys (ack) and stuffs like that. But I still came on from time to time.
But now with that trailer....holy smokes. lol
And since school's almost over/i'm going to a community college to save money before going to Art School or Pennsylvania State, all my worries are basically done. Well, minus the boys, but boys suck.
So yay! Let the avatar-ing begin...again.

I'm a new poster on here, but i have been reading this forum since like...July...*sounds like a stalker*
And i must say, i have never "given up" on the show. fan fiction and tv.com got me through my AWS.
but it would be nice to see new episodes. seriously. *waits for May 6th*

I never gave up on the show, I checked TV.com and these forums many times during the week to see if there were any updates for new episodes hidden in secret sites around the web. But I haven't been a hardcore forum poster since the second season... i think after the season two finale i lost my fight... it was too emotionally straining to keep up the pace i'd had leading up to then... and returning with season three wasn't the same... so yeah... anyway idk if i started rambling but cant wait for july :]]
