After Aang/Zuko defeats the fire lord, Aang gets a message from Avatar Roku.. Telling him that he has discoverd that there is an other Omega Avatar and that he just discoverd that he is an Avatar so Aang still has a chance on beating him, he is around Katara and Zuko's age and he already learned how to handle Earth Bending and after a while he also learns Air Bending from Air Bending scrolls that he found in the Air temples and from observing Aang when he is practacing and stuff.The Omega Avatar (who is called Atruai btw) discovers a new element in a dark forrest, He has discoverd the Life benders ((people who blend tactics from water (the healing from katara) and the bending power ofcourse they are the only element benders that can pick up humans from the ground and drain there energie they can also go into the ghost dimension just like Aang and Atruai can)) so after a while Atruai learns Water, Air, Fire, Earth and Life ... and so a new serie is born...???? (well this is my idea)

If you look up Avatars on Wikipedia, you'll run into reference of a "Kaliki" Avatar. He's the destroyer and is the Avatar of Eternity. I wrote a bit of a fic based on this:

2. Season 3 is the last season for Aang and the Gaang.

3. If they do make a sequal I'm hoping it's set in the future, where the Klingons are no longer the badguys and they fight Romulans. In later seasons they can even fight the Borg!

love the idea and all, but only one flaw.

there can only be on Avatar per generation, so Aang would have to die for the next one to be born.

as you know the air temples are formed by 4 (for men north and south and for women east and west)
when this temples were attacked, the fire nation just kill the southern air temple monks, because they knew that ang lived in there and he had not way to scape from the fire nation and the other monks from the othertemples were sended to the central air temple (where the air benders make up their families and then separate to live in the temple where they're supposed to live).
after ang faced the fire lord he went to the southern air temple looking for some air-bending scroll but instead of finding that he found an air-bender who has escaped from the central air temple. that monk told ang that the fire nation did not kill the air-benders because they find out that the air-benders knew how to control the others elements by their element, by this practice and also the comet the fire nation could attack the southern water tribe and control the earth kingdom.
and now ang most defeat the fire lord and safe the air-benders and restore balance to the 4 nations!. (this is my idea!!).
