To me bending??fire looks easy, there's no hard part to it.??For example, when Zuko tried to??make lightning and kept failing , it didn't looked that hard to me. All he had to do was get over his??anger and??be completely emotioneless.??I mean, even his little sister can do it. (I would be mad if Azula was my sister). It looks like all you have to do is control your emotions and that's what make Jeong Jeong, Azula, and Iroh powerful firebenders.

YOU try controlling your emotions if your mother was murdered by your country for your sake, your sister turned evil and destroyed everything you had, and the whole world disliked you.

Hey don't forget that your father scarred and banished you, you are now wanted by all nations, the water-bending girl you like(Zutara shippers be happy) is traviling with your arch enemy the Avatar (who is the single most powerful person on the planet), and on top of all this your Uncle is trying to teach you to shoot lightning out of your hand.

You have to be emotionless for Azula's type of firebending?! That's just sooo wrong! Lightning, with all of those twists and turns, looks like you'd have to be a emotional person in order to use it. Like handwriting... the more twists and turns in a person's writing, the more creative and emotional the writer is.

i dont think u have to b totally emotionless. u just have to be in control of your emotions. something in which zuko is not due to the conditions listed above. azula is heartless, but not emotionless.

there is a difference between just throwing fire, which probably isn't that hard, and "controlling" fire, as Jeong Jeong pointed out to aang. Im pretty sure that it is much harder to be able to bend and be willing to control the fire unlike zhao in the first season.

Firebending is the easiest to begin learning. Anyone can create fire. A novice Firebender can probably make fireballs within his first week, whereas it seems that the other arts seem slower and difficult to do. It seems like there are more Firebenders in the nation than Earthbenders in the kingdom. I believe that Firebending isn't a special quality or rare.

To further demonstrate this point, Zuko was a terrible bender and actually came at learning bending a different way than the proper method - as did General Zhao. It seems that Firebending is an easy to pick up art that is common and can be taught in many ways. Fire Mastery may be another thing entirely, but I believe the beginning is the easiest art in the land.

firebending may be easy to learn and its really powerful, but wut makes it hard is that every firebender is thus powerful, and so it is hard to rise from the mass and distinguish oneself from the rest of the group cause everyone looks skillful

Which is where a good bit of creativity (like Zuko's resourcefulness or Iroh's wise tactics) come in handy.

Firebending skills may not be difficult for Aang to pick up. Remember: He can't just whip up fire bolts; he needs to be able to contain fire as well. I can imagine a few cool things he may be able to do. Imagine (with me) a campfire turned inside out, still burning.

Why don't you go outside tomorrow and bend some fire yourself, then you can tell us if it's hard or not.

Zuko's dad wouldn't have probably banished him if his mom was still there. I bet his dad's been waiting to do it all his life. He just needed an opening.

Its probably like real martial artist, anyone can throw a punch without any formal training.

but if you noticed the only people I recal controlling fire after it has been launched at them was, Avatar Roku and Jeong Jeong.

cant remember if Iroh has done this but he has redirected lightning.

so back to my point just like real martial arts it's easy to trow a punch but takes real skill to control one.
