character for Halloween? Any of you adults/eer older kids going out to a Halloween
party as an avatar character? Pictures of your getup would be nice.

*nod* I love cosplay pictures (sadly though, my mom isn't a fan of my support of Avatar).

I don't think Avatar lends itself well to cosplaying, that's more for bizzarely outfitted things like Final Fantasy and My Clothes Aren't Physically Possible XXXIX: The World's In Peril Again. Aang and Zuko would be easily recognizable, but most others don't have enough special qualities to be good costumes.

And I'm going as a zombie business man! (not sure how that applies to this topic, though).

What's stopping you? You don't have to automatically leave behind your childhood after a certain point.

Unless you have some sort of seriously sick obsession with it, I don't see why your mom would mind.

I'll voice the advocate. It's creepy. Anyone that has hair on thier armpits can't dress up as a Power Ranger and ask for bubblegum anymore. Silly preteen, candy is for kids.

So long as you're out for the "special sweet candy" taken from usually strangers at random and not the normal sort of candy taken from strangers door to door at random, it's cool. But if he just turned too old for Halloween last year, I don't think dipping into the new candy is a good idea.

I went off topic, and it started the thread! I'm just sad no one seems to even want to try to dress up as a avatar character. I would like to see wearing a appa suit, that would make my day.

I think if I dressed up as Aang, people would say "Bruce Lee? With the yellow jumpsuit? Nice. What's with the arrow?"

Avatar is a little more obscure than you people are thinking.

A appa suit would make people think your a some kind of 6 legged, white beaver with horns, that pretty cool all by its self, if someone realizes it???s appa, then extra points. the momo suit sounds good to, people will most likely think your from "Where The Wild Things"!

I tried to convince my girlfriends little sis to go as Toph... Couldn't get her to go for it, tho. I'll give extra candy out to any kids that show up at my door in Avatar costumes.
