Aang will probably have a couple kids, and assuming Aang lives to to die of old age, he'll probably have grandkids or even great grandkids...one of them will have to be an Airbender(who Aang would probably teach to Airbend) to keep the balance...hell maybe all of his kids will be Airbenders since all Air Nomads were Airbenders...

    My speculation:
If the avatar spirit survives, it will direct the new avatar to learn airbending the way the first-ever airbenders learned, which, I believe, was NOT by watching flying animals fly, but by observing the effects of air on the world.

Ain't called Avatar: The Last Airbender for nothing! But, I think even if Aang doesn't have kids the new Avatars will still be able to airbend. They will just have to teach them selves like the ancestors did, some of you say "Well what about masters, won't they have to teach them, and there won't be any!" The firsts masters taught themselves, so the new Avatars will just have to re learn it again and again. It'll be hard, but not imposible. Katara did pretty good teaching herself without nay master for a while. Maybe someone will get smart and make some "airbending scrolls" like a waterbending scroll, so the new Avatars aren't stuck on a limb out on their own.

Well he IS the last airbender, and I don't know if there has been any interbender kids.(say a earthbender with a waterbender.) But Aang could be one of the last Avatars ever since once he dies and the Avatar line runs its course back to a airbender the cycle could just end and no more benders would be born. Since the show takes place in a "lost age" I figure it takes place on Earth but many many years ago, and that people in our time are either unable to bend due to there being no more avatar cycles, or people in general just forgetting much like in Chrono Trigger.
