    Cause of the Swamp.
"In the swamp we see visions of people we lost, people we loved".
Henceforth, Toph's going to die because of that one sentence. Oh yeah, that is so much evidence, I can see why so many people say Toph will die.

Not only that, but it's gut feeling. A character appears out of nowhere, only one episode of foreshadowing, and big-bang-boom, she's joined the group. It just seems very quick for something permament.

Although I wish she wouldn't die (although I really don't want her to be Aang's teacher) this is a great discovery. Really. Well-done.

Mai and Ty Lee had no foreshadowing before popping out of nowhere too. This is ******** that so many people think Toph will die just cause of the swamp. Toph is unique and important, she has just of good a chance at living as Aang, Katara, Sokkka, Zuko, and Iroh. Toph deserves to live. And for those that think Toph dying will set Aang off into an irrepressible rage, what about Katara? Aang loves her, if she died, he'd flip out and KILL.

didnt he also say in the swamp that your visions could also be some one you WILL meet and not specifically someone who will die?

Tell that to all the people who think Toph will die. Why can't the 'lost and loved one' part just refer to Katara and Sokka's Mom and Yue and the 'people you will meet' part just refer to Toph.

But Mai and Ty-Lee aren't as important. They aren't part of the main group that shows up in every episode. I personally don't think she'll die, but I just don't think she'll be permament. (at least not continually permament)

So THEY won't die because they aren't as important. If that's true, why would an IMPORTANT character like TOPH die?

MY GOSH! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING? I SAID that I DIDN'T think that Toph will die! Why are you so SENSITIVE about the issue? I understand that you like Toph but you snap everytime you think someone doesn't agree with your views!

I said I DON'T think that Toph will die, but I respect the people who think that she will and I understand their views! To answer your question, when an important character dies, there is more impact and more importance to the omission. I don't really think Toph will die, I just understand those that do! I'm not stubbornly sticking to an opinion just because it's my own, so I just said their side of the story.

Ahem. Sorry to double post, but I want to apologize if I snapped and offended any peoples. I'm Mr. Volatile.

But I just wanted to add that what I meant was that Ty-Lee and Mai weren't as important characters, and therefore the lack of foreshadowing was understandable in my opinion.

Okay, but Toph was foreshadowed. She's blind, was rich, she's tough and speaks her mind. She's unique to the series. Why would the creators kill her off? Ha, answer that. There's no point in killing off such a unique and interesting character.

Here is where the line is drawn between the Toph-life-wanters, and the Toph-death-wanters. What you have pointed out is a matter of opinion.I personally feel that if Toph was killed off, it would cause too much drama and a bit of loss. However, since I don't want her to be Aang's teacher, I'd have her kidnapped and brought back early-season three. There are those, however, who are more unattached to the characters, and have a personal preferrence of the drama, and personally infer more from the swamp than we might believe the creators intended. I suppose that's just personal differences. I just want to watch the creators tell their tale, to hell with theorizing.

Number one, i don't 'snap'. Number two, i contradict what others think, based on what i myself think. This is not snapping. And number three, if i ever do snap, i apologize afterwards, or i snap with capital letters in my responces, or smilies(though sometimes they make it worse) or by adding some small lines that are meant to be funny so people won't take me as seriously. You already apologized for snapping, but either way, you are the only who snapped here.

Well, no. Actually the smilie was supposed to announce that i was not being angry, OR sarcastic. And if you note, i also said that smilies sometimes make it worse, so i guess this is one of those times.
