Actually, that's not too far fetched. I mean, oxygen fuels flame right? So Azula just needs to figure out a way to ignite Aang's air blast when he sends it at her. Result: Extra crispy Avatar.

Aang could also simply create a large vaccum (I don't care about spelling) and suck all the air out of a large area, causing her to not only be unable to firebend, but it might also cause her head to explode.

    That'd be pretty cool.

In a perfect world, that would be Azula's fate. Of course, then Katara could use bloodbending in particularly nasty ways. :O

And toph could use the tiny fragments of dust and sand that inevitably wind up in your pores to take control of your skin, and then rip it off, leaving you without your skin.

And Katara would be like Alma from FEAR.

Just walks right up to people, and their blood gets ripped out of their bodies through their chest cavities and they get ripped open.

Sandbending skin flaying = major cool.

And then Katara could use the blood she ripped out of one victim and use it to cut apart another.

Or she could freeze the blood in someone's brain.

See, this is why Avatar should come in a TV-MA version.

Nah. I don't think they're actually capable of doing that stuff. It sounds REALLY farfetched. Using individual sand molecules? Chances are she'd really just clean out your pores and make a tiny dust cloud.

It would be pretty cool though.

Yeah, maybe the sand one is a little extreme. But come on, if you can manipulate the blood in someone's body enough to turn them into a puppet, you could probably at least stop their heart without too much trouble.

And the way Hama and Katara were sucking water out of trees was pretty intense.

Yeah but that was pure water. It had to be a full moon to bloodbend, and it seemed to be VERY restrained. Sokka and Aang just flew around like ragdolls, and I doubt even Hama could actually direct an entire body properly. There was very little coordination. Chances are the amount of control they had was very, very minimal, also counting causing an entire organ to stop regular function would probably be really hard.

It really just seemed like they pushed the body around by slightly manipulating the blood.

Thinking about the whole skin removal by sand/dirt/dustbending might be feesable.

Skin has two layers, the epidermis and the dermis. The top one being the outer layer, with the pores and all.

Side notes: The epidermis is avascular (contains no blood vessels) and is nourished by diffusion from the dermis.
^ So waterbending someone's top layer of skin isn't exactly a possibility.

Clogged pores are clinically called comedones, and there are two types: blackheads, which are incompletely clogged pores capped with blackened dust or debris and whiteheads, which are completely clogged pores.

This is how I could see the earthbending/skin removal thing working. The dust in the person's pores could be bended to expand further into their skin and hook into the tissue, allowing the earthbender to pull back and tear the flesh.

Full body removal of skin if someone wanted to might not be achievable.
Unless there's enough 'dust' all over someone's body for the move of course.

I'm not really all that good with science of any form, so the facts I found could be wrong! Sorry in advance.

Technically, the sand in one's pores could only be moved by a sandbender, which according to canon is a completely different talent tree that only the desert nomads mastered.

With that distinction stated, I would like to see a sand bender that carried a fist full of sand to grind through their foes flesh. It would be like liquid sandpaper that dug under your skin and tore through your muscles to grind apart your organs.

just to clarify something to all the people who complained about Azula "out-running Aang" When Aang was running at super speeds, that was the only thing he was doing. Whereas during the fight with Azula he had to not only be concious of the Dai Li, but also actively try to attack Azula.

and Azula at the time was focused solely on avoiding Aang and using up his time. I don't think its to far fetched that someone as nimble as Azula could avoid Aang if that was the only thing she was focused on doing, and she also had backup with the Dai Li.

How can you say that Hama had very little coordination when she made a guy reach to his belt, select a specific key, and then unlock it, all in less time than it takes me to do the same when I'm drunk?

And I think 'bloodbending' is just a cool-sounding name for what should actually be called 80%-body-weight-water-bending.

Because blood doesn't move your limbs, your muscles do. And if your blood is overpowering your muscles, it'd definitely not flowing properly. And if it's not flowing properly, then I'm afraid you're about to become a permanent member of the Spirit World.
