Can you demonstrate on this doll exactly where the Avatar touched you? Don't be shy.

Avatar is a complete rip off of Dragonball. Anything you see in avatar was already made and was much better in dragonball. avatar is just a soft cartoon for 4-6 years old. |

Actually, I kind of agree with him. Avatar has a lot in common with Dragonball, but so does, oh say, Naruto, One Piece, Tsubasa, and a lot of other Shonen mangas/animes I've never read and may never.
It's not a rip off if the work in question isn't unique in and of itself from several other works. You're right to say that Dragonball did things better than Avatar because your opinion is absolutely correct when dealing with your own tastes.
As to if Avatar is 'soft'; watching Avatar is like watching a Kung Fu movie in cartoon form (such as Kung Fu Hustle), while Dragonball is more like watching a more violent and better version of a children's cartoon (such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). As per my relation before, this is just how I view these shows and it may be different for you.
I doubt I've changed anyone's mind with this, but it is something to think about.
By the by, wasn't Dragonball an adaptation (rip-off) of 'Journey To The West'?
Dragonball Z.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Avatar, but when it comes to a challenge like this, DBZ is the correct choice.
DBZ has around 280+ episodes, while Avatar has around 60. Dbz also came around 10 years before Avatar in the US, and i've been a fan ever since 2001 or so, maybe that's why I like it better.
I disagree that Avatar is a rip-off of DBZ. How is it anyway? Avatar is NOTHING like Dragonball z. There is no similarities between both shows. DBZ is more violent, has more action then comedy, etc...
In my opinion, Avatar: The Last Airbender is far superior to Dragon Ball Z, and I was never really into Dragon Ball Z to beign with.
So yeah I love Avatar: The Last Airbender and prefer it over Dragon Ball Z, Avatar rocks! Aang is a really good main character, and his Avatar State could possibly pwn just about anyone and anything.
The only two similarities I can see with Avatar and DBZ is they both have Chinese themes, and both involve some sort of Martial Arts Super Power.
Score Meter: Avatar: The Last Airbender >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dragon Ball Z.

Two "animes" head to head. I vote avatar. It has a better story, better characters, and one fight doesn't take like 200 episodes. Post your favourite and your opinion.

Yeah But that Live-action Dragon Ball movie didn't look too good, the main character looked kinda cool though.
Avatar is next in line for live-action movies, and already around here it seems to be having doubts.
I still think Avatar is better though lolz.
Yeah, but in my opinion the Dragon Ball Z movie wasn't that bad. So I have mixed feelings about the Avatar movie.
Oh yeah and I also watch Avatar whenever I can on those DVDs we have now. I guess Nick doesn't play Avatar anymore because they assume everybody ahs the DVDs to watch them at anytime, that's my theory.
