    People, keep in mind that the characters on Avatar, there abilities are rather dummed down.(for the sake of it I guess)

    Katara has yet to do the water puppeteering thing, Toph can like...do anything, and Aang can like make a frickin tornado.

    Also, Itachi's M.Sharingan probably won't work because it's a genjitsu, and therefore it only works on people with a chakra circlatory system (I think...)

    Anyway....

    Aang VS Naruto
    -Tough call, but I say Naruto (post-timeskip) or a draw.
    I say Naruto b/c his new Rasengan seems stronger than any airbending Aang has. Aang does have the avatar state which could let him win, but don't forget Naruto has the nine-tailed fox.

    Sokka VS Shikamaru
    -Shikamaru. No way Sokka is getting past the Shadow possesion jutsu (unless he does something quick with his boomerang). They both can do strategy, but Shikamaru will likely have the upperhand there.

    Katara VS Sakura
    -If its pre-timeskip Sakura, then defeinitely Katara would win. Post timeskip Sakura would have a better chance.

    Zuko VS Sasuke
    -Tough match but Sasuke.

    Toph VS Neji
    -(That would be SO awesome). I'm inclined to say Toph, because she can prevent Neji getting at her vital points with rock-armor.

    Momo VS Pakkun
    -Cant call this one, haven't seen what Pakkun can do in battle yet (that dog makes me laugh).

    Mai VS TenTen
    -TenTen. Mai can't summon weapons from scrolls.

    Jet VS Zabuza
    -Zabuza. Jet wouldn't get through the mist.

    Haru VS Haku
    -Haku. Cant see Haru getting past the crystal ice mirrors...then again he could use earth shields to deflect the needles, but that just defense. Dont forget how fast Haku is.

    Ty lee VS Ino
    -Ty Lee. Ty Lee moves too fast for Mind Transfer Justu to work.

    Meng VS Hinata
    -The girl from the ep. with Aunt Wu? Dont insult Hinata like that.

    Suki VS Temari
    -Temari. I can't see Suki getting close enough to attack with Temari's wind attacks.

    Azula VS Itachi
    -Itachi. Azula wont get past the Mangekyo Sharingan. That would be sweet to watch.



    Sure sounds like a Naruto fan to me. haha

    Both great shows... but Naruto is more action and less storyline (at least at this point... all that is happening is staged matches between ninjas), Avatar has enouch action for me, and a great storyline. So Avatar beats out Naruto. And the guy isn't an avatar fanboy... the truth is, naruto is based around ninjas... or shinobis, designed to kill, avatar is more like creating balance between people. I mean....lets take Ty Lee vs. Neji for example. Ty Lee hits pressure points which disable enemies ability to fight and/or bend, well Neji can block chakra points, which is pretty much the same thing, now add the wierd byakugan spin thingy an dh ewins easily. Most of the naruto people easily beat the avatar guys in fighting, but naruto is based around fighting, while avatar is a combo of storyline na dfighting. Although I do note, Katara would kick Sakuras *ss, Sakura just sux as a ninja straight out.

    I meant that Aang wouldn't KILL Naruto, being an airbender and all.

    But if they ever fought,??it??would be??a hard match to call. There's the Avatar state vs the Nine Tailed Fox. I think our first impression of the controllable Avatar state wasn't too good (the old uncontrollable version would likely win). And Naruto's four-tailed fox was downright scary (in my opinion).

    I tried to be completely impartial. Turns out the Naruto characters just have more tricks up their sleeves.

    But I would presume the sources and uses different.

    In Naruto, chakra is used as a energy source, in Avatar there just pools of energy in your body (because they use qi)

    As much as I love Naruto, Avatar is a better done show. That being said, in almost all the battles the Naruto characters would win if it were being done at the points in time the characters currently are in both shows. (Naruto in Japan, not where they are in the dub)

    The only possible exceptions are Katara might be able to beat Sakura and Ty Lee could possibly stand up against Ino.
