Among other things, the story mentions that Avatar episodes will be available for download on iTunes, a bigger and better official site is underway, and plans for more seasons beyond the three originally planned. It's not a long article, but I guess it's interesting.

Finally! Avatar makes the news. I'll look at my newspaper site (dallasnews.com) to see if there is a story on it too. I doubt it.

This is sweet! More than just three seasons of Avatar. So long as Bryan and Mike don't leave, and they don't jump the shark, more seasons is totally awesome to hear about.

But when the hell are we going to find out about the new main character? Jesus Christ the secrecy is killing me!

Eh, I'll just go drown myself in Naruto episodes for now. Just finished episode 80. Have to know what happens next! I think I'm a Gaara fangirl now. Poor kid.

"According to the creators, "Avatar" was designed to be a three-season story line, including a big finale. Talks are said to be underway, though, to continue the series beyond the initial plan."

HELL YEAH! This is a good thing. Most times Nick is looking to shorten a show's episode order, but Avatar is so special it is actually undergoing talks to get more episodes. That's either a big step for Nick, or it really says something about the show (I'll take the latter).

"The coming season includes new characters and a new villain. One new regular will be Azula, sister of Avatar's nemesis, Zuko. The sister's name, DiMartino said, was the topic of great debate over in past months, although she had only appeared once - without a name."

AND HA!!! IT'S AZULA!!!! I TOLD YOU ALL!!!!!! THAT ARTICLE PROVES IT!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehehe...boy will all the fans be surprised tomorrow when the name TV.com and Dongbu Feng reported WAS THE CORRECT ONE!!!

"There will also be an hour-long special in September."

    OH MY GOD!!! *SCREAMS*

Ok *takes deep breath* I'm gonna calm down now...

If you blow up that picture, you'll see that Katara and Sokka are sporting their season two threads, with Sokka's sleeveless outfit, and Katara with more of a fur-lined robe. The picture in the print version is way better.

Interesting...didn't notice that. So Katara gets a new look too? I wonder why...maybe the first ep. will explain...

I'm happy the show is doing awesome. But man am I mad that it just might be longer than three. I'm telling you, shows should not overstay their welcome. I'm hoping they can keep it up, but I just don't think they will.

    I totally agree.

And Jake, you're now crazier than Victor.

    Thank you

And I disagree. The creators haven't let us down yet, and if there's a way to keep the show going beyond 3 seasons and still make it good, that would be awesome. As long as Mike, Bryan and Aaron stay equally involved

I knew it would be Azula! Zula would just be too common (ex. Zuko, Zhao, Zula) Aw.. I feel good too. This is exciting, that article was good to cheer me up today.

Well, all I'm saying is the longer they prolong it, the more chance there is of the bigwigs getting involved, cancellation, etc. Plus the story might just get drawn out.

All I'm saying is that I'd hate for the show to get cancelled before it ended awesomely. I'd rather have a SHORT-BUT-FRICKIN-SWEET 3 seasons, than say 5 seasons of an unfinished show. Still, it'd be nice to see more of the characters. We'll see.

Katara's outfit looks warmer than cooler unlike Sokka's new look which has more of a spring feel to it. but I can live with it

This is awesome! I'm excited about the possibility of more than 3 seasons, but hope they do it right. I think Katara and Sokka's new threads is due to the fact they are going to a warmer climate. I personally like it.
