I wanted to start a thread about how avatar fans became fans of the show. So ill start it out.

When I first saw avatar I didn't like it. My sister would watch it and i'd be like why are you watching this stupid show. Because im a big stereotype to anime shows. Until there was a marathon of the whole season 1 up until the waterbending master. And my sis an cousin made me sit down and watch it. And by winter sol. pt2 I was glued to my seat. And then seige of the north came on a couple weeks later and that made me more of a fan.??And ive been watching it ever since.

I saw all of the previews before it came out. So I thought I would check it out. I instantly got hooked. And I can proudly(and truthfully) say that I've been a fan from day 1. ^^

I thought Avatar was a good show when I first watched. Good, but not great. The first episode I saw was "the King of Omashu" and then I watched "Imprisoned."

I first got excited about it when I saw the commercial for the waterbending scroll, when Zuko says "I will save you from the pirates" rather sexily, I might add.

At the prospect of him becoming a good guy, I became obsessed with finding evidence of his good qualities. Mostly due to the fact that I have no life (Just kidding, I do have a life...or do I???)

And so its all because of Zuko that I became an Avatar fan

If you thought that was sexy, you should have read the Shirtless!Zuko segment. That was sexy. =]

When the previews started showing I was like "It's not going to last" But I happened to catch the premier, and I was hooked! Can't judge a book by it's cover, I suppose

It was like two weeks before a trip to San Antonio for a band convention (I was in the state jazz band). Besides that, one night, my sister and I were watching a Fairly Oddparents rerun. Nick aired a promo for Avatar during the end credits. My sister was interested. I gave it a shot.

The afternoon of the pilot. My sister and I were watching it. We both thought it was good. She watched every single episode. I didn't. I watched The Waterbending Scroll when it was first aired. I thought to myself why am I missing out on this show. I think it's great. So from there, I started watching every episode.

I mineaswell tell my story. I watched the premier, thought "ehh.." though I couldn't bring myself to hate, or like, it. I didn't avidly watch after that, but I did like KoO and SaT. I think the SaT should've come later, after they got some jokes in. Then gotten the show to be super serious. I didn't, and still don't, like that episode choice. But, it got better and better, then I slept over at a friends house the night of SotN, and we flipped between that and Bruce Almighty on USA. Then, I decided to catch up on all the episodes I missed, under 2 months ago, on youtube, and became hooked. Then, during the Library, I went from under-average poster, to one the biggest.

I was hooked by the prospect of Zuko becoming "good". I'm not a Zutara shipper by any means (mostly becuase it conflicts with Zukaila )
