if you are talking of S3, then yes they have mentioned the avatar state. Toph mentioned it in Nightmares and Daydreams. she asked why aang couldnt just go into the avatar state in his battle against ozai(or something like that) and aang's answer was that his seventh chakra was blocked when he was shot by azula's lightning. that was most probably put in there just to recap why he couldnt go into the avatar state |
