Yeah, the only decent idea I've seen so far. Though it would need to be rated at least TV-14 rather than Y7. |
(first: I appoligize for posting on a three month old forum) If we're to be perfectly (and somewhat painfully) honest, Avatar could've gone far under a TV-14 heading, don't you think? If the maturity level was a little bit higher than 'appeals to six year olds' the show could've been aired on TeeNick and reached a slightly broader audience in my opinion.
The Chronicles of Momo:
A series revolving around Momo before he meets up with the Gaang. Chronicles his Path of Destruction and how he was involved in the demise of the Air Nomads.
A great water bending healer from the north pole sets out to do what ever she can to help the suffering people in the aftermath or during the war. There is disease, hunger, infected wounds not treated that needs amputation. etc... This healer set out all over the world meeting many different types of healers from the different nations. They see how the fire bender healers heal people with fire, and heat, how the earth benders heal with earth and they even find old air bending text for monk doctors. Ohh yea... and shes part of the OWL, so we see the inner workings of OWL.
btw, the fire benders medical tecnology resembles more modern medical science then the three other nations.
They find arrogent earth king doctors that work directly for the royal family, and cares only for fame, power and money but not for helping people. He even gets in the way of our heroin sometimes because he is jeolous or to serve his own purpose.
She listens to the cabbage sellers problems, because she knows healing is not just about skill but also healing the worries and emotions of people. and picks up a young water bender healer apprentice. Strangly this young healer is a boy, unlike the females that dominate the art.
Guest appearance by Katarra, and katarra learns a lot about healing from our heros. And she has a cute girly crush on Iroh.
Her destiny intertwines with the fate of the gAang, doing something crual to help Aang defeat ozai but the gAang never even knowing.
If anyone knows of the korean drama hur joon, Yea... i enjoyied it as a child very much.
How about a spinoff in which we travel back in the avatar world to the ancient times that the lion-turtle talks about. Where the energy within the body was used instead of the energy without.
could talk about ko the face stealer and how he came to be.
could talk about the beginning of the avatar world and how the elements began to get controlled (bending)
The young lion-turtle could travel (swim) from land to land encountering each beginning of earth, water, fire, and air.
The spiritual world including many of the gods (moon, sun, etc.) and how they began to play their parts.
The story when the dragons first gave fire to the sun warriors.
and much more (if I could think of any more)
Here's my spinoff:
Crazy foaming at the mouth guy is the next avatar!
He's gonna have alot of work to do, peace to share, and foam to spread.
In a surprise twist, Katara discovers she has feeling for Crazy foaming at the mouth guy, but must choose between Aang or Rabies.
Imagine all the fun times.
