Dosu Kinuta, mercanary
--
Dosu sat down with his guest on the floor, where he more comfortable. His guest didn't find much comfort there, but Dosu was never for comforting is employers.
"What is it that you need?" Dosu asked, while he prepared a drink for the two.
"It's my two children, that I need help with. They are very active supporters of the Earth Kingdom's military forces. They constantly speak out against the Fire Nation. They're well known for meeting with Earth Kingdom regiments and lending their support," said the man known now as Hitan.
"That's great, really, I support them, but what does this have to do with me?"
"Well, their most recent escapade got them both captured, I'm afraid."
"Captured? You mean the soldiers they were with were killed?"
"Most of them, yes, I'm afraid. It's terrible, but there is good news. My children are being kept alive as prisoners. We are a wealthy family who wants to lend support to the nations of the world, save the Fire Nation of course."
"So the Fire Nation wants to make an example of your kids? What happens to those who stand up against them? How do you know they're still alive?"
"Because they sent word. They told me that they were being kept alive to be taken to the Fire Nation, where they will be publicly executed by Fire Nation royalty. They think it will send the perfect message to those with wealth and power who actually want to help people, and by people we mean the soldiers."
"...I see. So you want me to bust them out? Why did you choose me?"
"Because of your impressive record with stealth operations. I also know you are the best person to chose for a solo mission. You work best alone, and when you're alone you work better than anyone else, especially at these types of missions. I will be willing to pay whatever you want for your services. Please, my children are all that I have left. My wife passed on a few years ago. My parents are afraid and resent me for standing up against the Fire Nation. I have noone left in the world."
Dosu sat back and thought for a minute. He knew what it was, better than anyone, perhaps, to lose those close to you. His brother had seen to it that.
"I'll do it, in exchange for your connections."
"Connections?"
"The connections you made as a wealthy man. I'm looking for someone. Someone very....elusive. Having high end connections is better than straight pay, especially coming from a man of your wealth and position."
Hitan looked shocked. He hadn't looked very happy since he had walked inside, but his face was now twisted in one of fear, loathing, and to top it off suprise.
"No money? No money at all? You just need my help finding someone? Who?"
"We'll worry about that when the time comes. What I need now is their position. Everything you know," Dosu replied.
"Of course, of course. They were last spotted by a group of villagers who were out fishing. They spotted a large prison ship being escorted along the coast. They were heading towards a large city on the water to replenish their resources. The villagers went to town and asked around. Rumor had it that they were escorting a group of very wealthy prisoners back to the Fire Nation to be executed by high authority figures. They were to leave port two days after this. That means they are leaving tommorow. It fits too well, you see." His story finished, Hitan sat back and sighed a deep, miserable sigh of hatred and anger.
"Yes, it does fit. Thank the spirits for quickspread rumors. The Fire Nation soldiers probably couldn't wait to tell everyone about their important mission," Dosu said. A lot of Dosu's information came from rumors or tales of legend. A lot of it was very, very true.
"I'll leave immediately. All I need is the name of the city and I can be there in time."
"The city of Tsutegoto. This map will lead you there, and also has the location where you will bring them to safely get them back in our hands."
Dosu took the map and got up. He cracked his back and stretched out. He had been sitting for too long. Grabbing up his things, he turned his back to HJitan.
He said in his typical, gruff voice, "I'll have them there a day after the ship leaves. It will give us enough time to get there safely without exposing them.
