I think they might make one someday. Maybe when the Avatar is finished or something or they could be working on one as we speak. o.O

Whoa, this is the proof, the boards have practicly changed skin now, the old veterans are almost all out, leaving new ones to cover their steps, i am glad to be one of the few to stay here seeing how it all evolves.

This topic has been discussed multiple times, and we reached one conclusion, it would be bad.
The game development would more than likely be done by a cheap company, and it would be rather hard to make it any different than other popular MMORPG games, like Ragnarok, World Of Warcraft, Silkroad and others, so it would likely be the same thing but with only 4-5 type of characters to choose, Fire Benders, Water Benders, EarthBenders, Air Benders and maybe Non-Benders, and that's a very limited ammount of variation compared to any other MMORPG.

So, unless a company like Blizzard decides to help and do it, i doubt it will happen, and if it does, it would be almost impossible to make it a huge hit, since people would most likely choose to play WoW or Ragnarok instead.

Well if it was F2P then it would be pretty popular for all of the people who can't pay to play WoW and stuff. Ragnorak is okay, but I mean this game would be popular to all of the Avatar fans.

True! This is exactly what I just wanted to say
They would get a giant amount of Avatar fans (only if they create the game AFTER the Avatar movies ofcourse). I am one of the veterans that edmasterchaos was talking about, but back then people didn't know that there would become a couple of live Avatar movies. Now that we do, we can be assured that there would be enough fans/people to give the game an honest chance in the game-world.

Yeah, that's also an important factor, an online Avatar game would most likely not be free, seeing how Nick would have to pay a large sum of money to create it and by logic, if 10 million people over the world play it, and nick charged 10 dollars a month, nick would get 100 million a month, huge win there, altough part would go to maintaining the game.

Sadly, i don't think that the number of Avatar fans is a huge enough number for an MMORPG :/

I guess, but with advertising, anything could happen. Maybe if they started out with decent games and built their way up, that could work. WoW wouldn't be that known unless people played the original Warcraft games like 1, 2, 3, and frozen throne expansion. I'm not saying make an Avatar RTS, that would be pretty cool, but I'm saying like start off with some decent RPG games for systems.

Yes, decent ones. I think if they actually put some more time into the games, they could have made it better. I would like to see an Avatar game like the Final Fantasy strategy ones. You know, pick a command and they do it. Attack, defend, item, special moves, and what not.

Actually, the FF games have changed because of the new technological advances. Maybe you've seen the FF13 trailers?
Anyways, I agree that there are a lot of ways they could make such an idea succesfull, but that's not the question we should asking. The real question is: do Bryke still want to work on Avatar a few more years after working for many many years on the series and the Live Movies?

I've seen them and I was talking about the old Final Fantasies. The new ones look intense. I would do it after the end of the Avatar Series. Maybe wait a bit and then announce it in advertisements. People would be like, "Oh I remember that show. It's a new MMORPG? I think I'll give it a try." I think they should do it how WoW did it and make it like that.

You're totally right, but still they would need the original creators in order to make it work, and the next couple of years they will to busy on the movies. Personally I think they'd want to work on something new after working on Avatar for all those years.

Hmm...I guess they could get ideas from the original creators. The Star Wars: The Force Unleashed crew just asked George Lucas questions and stuff. The game makers could do that. Keep in touch with the original creators. While they make a movie. The movie would be a hit and the game would be getting started.

I'm sorry, but I have to differ with you on that one. Like we both said before, the success of these games would depend for a great part on the avatar fans, so it has to be exactly like Avatar the series... In order to that you'll need the creators :S

That's why they would get the creators to do on the side. It's just to get the game started and the game creators can work on the other important stuff like graphics and what not.

I thnk right now Avatar could really use a good action game, with multiplayer and that doesn't look like a nintendo 64 game...

Seriously, they could develop a game like Naruto Ultimate Ninja/Clash Of Ninja with a better story mode of course and a Multiplayer mode, and that would easily raise the popularity of the show.

Even a simple fighting game would do it, with storymode only being to beat the enemies with an order that makes reference to the story of the show, and a wide selection of characters for Multiplayer, would be good enough.
Just think of the possibilities for the characters, each one having multiple variations for weapons and fighting based on the show.
Aang *Press Y to choose the varation*
    Water bender
Airbender *Press X while on this one to choose between Airbender/No Weapon and Airbender/Staff*
    Earth bender
    Fire bender
    All Elements

    Katara
    Water bender [from before 118]
    Water bending Master [after 118]

    Toph

    Zuko
Fire Bender/ Fire Nation's Prince [basically Season 1 Zuko]
Twin Blades Fighter *Press X to change into Firebender/ Twin Blades* [basically Season 2 Zuko]
True Fire Bender *press X to add Twin Blades*
    The Blue Spirit

    Sokka
Water Tribe Warrior [pretty much him using the Boomerang and the sharp thingy he used a few times]
    Sword Master

    Azula

    Ty Lee

    Mai

    Zhao

    Iroh
Regular [basically from season 1 and 2]
Trained [after he got his muscles body]

    Fire Lord Ozai

    Water bending Master P@ku

Avatar Roku [he would only be able to use all four elements]

    Avatar Kyosh!

Those who don't have anything under their name is because they would only have one form, seeing how they don't really variate during the show.
But this is just an idea, i doubt they'll ever make a game like this...

OK, I've been trying to post this for 10 minutes now >.>

The cutscenes could be clips from the show.
