If anything say??it??was more of a Nick bashing by Comedy Cental's Daily Show by John Stewart on how kids shows [on nickelodeon] are influencing our kids, as well as how Bob the Builder is like Hitler and other crap like that. Its comedy central don't be suprised, but anyways it showed clips from the Blue Spirit and there was a small comment on gay and violent influence.

I'm just happy that Avatar got some recognition on a Comedy Central. I'm weird like that, so I thought I might share the love

They showed a wee bit o' the blue spirit (the part where Zuko's got the swords up against Aangs neck.) during a bit about cartoon violence, but then the segment went in a different direction about some nut who thinks bob the builder has connections to nazism.

Still, pretty cool. I had my own personal squee fit.

Yeah, that sounds like Jon Daily. He's a complete douche, but what are you going to do about it? If he had any intelligence, he would know that avatar is a lot more than just violence, but i guess that would be asking too much.......

Please. It's John Stewart. He's a brilliant comedian working on one of the best shows on TV right now.

    It's called satire.

True, Avatar is a bit violent, but at least Avatar has some well deserved recognition.

Do you think what Ann Coulter says is satire? That's how she and people who follow her defend what she says. Granted, Coulter is more cruel than Daily is, but she's a democrat basher, and Daily is a republican basher. So by that logic, if Daily is a satirist, then so would Coulter. Would you call Coulter a satirist?

No. Ann Coulter isn't joking. She is dead serious about the garbage she spouts.

Here is a clue: The channel the Daily show airs on is called Comedy Central.

If you can't tell the different between a hate mongering pundit and a satirist, you are in trouble.

Sorry if I seem like, completely oblivious, but that would be because I am. I'm not really into politics or anything, but my teacher used to talk about the Daily Show all the time, but I honestly don't know what it's about. Could someone fill me in? (And tell me what time it comes on, and if there will be some sort of rerun of it so that I can watch it please?)

Generally it's a faux news-like program which satirizes current events and how the media portrays them.

They did a similar thing with Kim Possible & the North Korean Missile situation - since there's a Kim in the North Korean leader's name.??
