    Well, Toph's name also means, like, "drum" in Hebrew. But a lot of people also say it might also be a play on the word "tough". There's other stuff, but the bell just rang and I gots to go. See ya all in about 5 hours!

    i knew about Toph being tough, but i doubt the rest of the descriptions are also true... you could be right though... these are pure speculations

    No, we're not talking about translations, just what their names sound like. Toph sounds like tough, Katara sounds like caring, Sokka sounds like sarcastic, ect. The relationship is that their names sound like the adjectives that describe them. Toph really is tough, sokka really is sarcastic and katara really is caring. ect.
