This thread is useless, and so will be my post. Here is your random fact for the day. The leader and conqueror of the Mongolian Empire, Genghis Khan, swept 90% of the known world in less then 3 month's. Upon his glorious victory, he drank himself??dead . Thus showing how a brilliant leader can also be a staggering fool.

It kind of hurts to say this, but I know it's correct.

Avatar should just end after 60 eps. No doubt about it. No spinoffs, no extra seasons, just end it awesomely, and end it.
I kinda understand wat u are saying...a good end of a great show. The last last last episode of the series should come with a bang...it would be perfect but im still sad..

I think the writers have been heard to say in interviews that although the series was only intended to have a three season run, its popularity has made them consider doing more seasons.?? They did say though that becaus of the current format of the show - learning a new skill every season, building up to fighting the Big Bad at the end - that any new series that they make would have to have a different format by default.

Why would the creators of this show take such a good idea and limit it like this? They should have made the first season start out with Avatar Roku's Death then the war would follow suit. Then technically season 2 would be all about Aang and so on. It's such a great idea for a show but they limited it to 3 seasons? For shame.

Yeah, I heard that there were only going to be 3 seasons, too, the third one being "fire." It would make sense, though, for them to make a fourth book. For those of you that haven't noticed, the books are going in order of the intro ("water, earth, fire, air") so making a fourth one called air would make sense (it would keep the pattern going ^^). I really don't know what they would do if there were any more seasons (or what the heck "air" would be about, since aang already knows that element obviously), so I'm thinking that if they do decide to do more than three seasons, they will stop at four. It's sad, but that's just what I think.

It may just be me but I think the thought of a 4th season does make sence, Aang is supposed to bring order to the world, and even after he defeats the fire nation there will still be work for him to do.

He is the last airbender and for the avatar legacy to continue after he is gone there need to be other airbenders to teach the new avatars airbending.
There are a lot of power hungry people in the fire nation that will still be trying to rule the world who will need dealing with.

They are just a couple of ideas but I think they get my point across.

ooh yeah, that is a good idea for a fourth season. that way, the ending wont be quite as sudden ("we beat the firelord, yay! kay, bye.")

Yea, it hurts to say this but they should end at 60 Episodes.. if they don't they may keep making episodes just to please the fans but in reality the show will skyrocket but not in a positive way. I believe if they make extra episodes the show will become useless and no one will watch it. Therefore the final episode should be their best episode ever in the series.

I ask, is Avatar your typical show? Has it given any reason to disappoint thus far?

Then who the hell are we to say the show should end after 3 seasons/60 episodes. That's for the network and the producers to figure out. If they think the story can move on and they can continue to produce quality episodes and have another storyline, then they should do it, and I will support them.

Though I'm disappointed some people say the creativity and originality will go down after the 3rd season. ARE YOU PYSCHIC? Do you have powers to see into the future and know that if Avatar went to a 4th season it would automatically suck. I strongly disagree. People say this about 24, too. That it should end soon so it doesn't lose it's originality. But it's still on the cutting-edge and the writers keep putting out great episodes and storylines. Same with Avatar. Those writers are terrific and I trust them to take the show however long they can.

If Avatar ended after only 3 seasons, don???t you think it would have the ???Invader Zim effect???? Meaning, loads and loads of upset people that refuse to drop it even 5 years after the show ended. There would be petitions, boycotts, and angry fans???pretty much what happened when IZ was cancelled. Maybe even more since this show has a lot more popularity. Of course, IZ was cancelled for a completely different reason, but??still. ??I personally see tons of ways they can expand the story line with out killing it. I???m not sure how many of you have heard of the comic and TV series W.i.t.c.h., but just look at how nicely it flowed from one plot to another! I believe that Avatar would do just fine.

Avatar might stop making old episodes too. Thought I'd just point out the redundancy.
