The avatar is supposed to keep peace in the world, but there are a few things that break the peace, like the war is for Aang, or Chin the Conquerer was for Kyoshi.

But what was it for Roku?

I think the Fire Nation was planning on the war while Avatar Roku was there, but they were waiting for his death to launch it, so I don't think Avatar Roku necessarily had anything that disturbed the peace. Sure, there are minor things, but I don't think anything really big happened.

Seriously, if anything happened under Roku's watch, I'd be scared to see what he did.

Sorry - can't help it....?? And ain't that the pot calling the kettle black!

And as for waiting for Roku to die to start the war, I believe he war started when FireLord Sozin harnessed the power of the comet during its first pass over their world.?? Since it has never been addressed when and how Roku died, we have to assume the comet came after Roku's death or he would have been able to harness the power himself as well to overcome FireLord Sozin.?? And Aang at that time was a child under the Monks at the Southern Air Temple not even aware that he was the Avatar at this point so he could do nothing.

Oh. I don't know how I got it into my head that it was spelled, 'Rokku,' instead of, 'Roku.'

It's probably along the lines of the Riku/Rikku debate. There are a lot of asian names with the double consonant but same pronounciation. It causes a lot of confusion with non-native speakers who can't notice the gentle break between the syllables.

I Thought the Comet came after Aang was frozen in the iceberg, They said the comet was used to strike a frist blow against the rest of the nations, so in the air nomads casae it was the genocide,

I hate pointless debates, yes. But are you referring to something more specific?

I'm talking about the fact that there's like 20 threads all asking the same thing or talking about the same thing or blah blah....
