    I heard recently that Avatar is based on a book so i was wondering does anyone know anything about the book like who it was written by or anything ????

    Another user here, grintoth, claims his firend hs a copy of said book, but hasn't lent it to him for over a month. Therefore, most of the users at tv.com on the Avatar boards are pretty confident it doesn't exist.

    I'm not denying it does, but we're a little hesitant to agree.

    yea he says it based on a book called the seven rings, go figure, lol he swears he has proof but he has yet to show it

    Avatar is based on many legends and teachings, from asian cultures.
    But it's not based on a book.

    The entire book thing is supposed to make Avatar sound more mystical. The books are in fact the season os the show and the chapters are the episodes.

    The creators have said in interviews they come up with this on their own. Avatar was not based on a book, but IMO, it's deep and complex and serious and developed enough of a story to be a great series of books.

    When i first aired in my country i was desperatly searching for the book dumb me

    but i agree the story just fits that of a book, i would even like to discuss it.
    Is the Avatar good enough story for a nice book???
    yes or no, If there was a book about it would be way more "bloody" i think much more deep and darker than the series.
