are there war between nations before ozai gets his power from comet?

    why the ozai declare war tothe other nations, and if ozai gets his power from comet, is there a possiblity to there is an other war inthe first avatars` world?

    AHHH! Bad grammar alert!

    Back on topic, Ozai didn't start the war, Sozen did. The comet hasn't come around yet in Ozai's lifetime. There were wars before the one Sozen started. Remember "Avatar Day"? It was some war within the Earth Kingdom.
