No. This show has always forgotten about characters after the episode they originaly appeared in.

Take June for instance or even the owl both very important but in the next episode completely forgotten and the owl was only mentioned once in the next episode. So we've seen the last of the sand people.

uh.... no. it's not even close to the same thing.

Jun was never an important character. she was part of another of zuko's half-baked schemes to get the avatar. she was a one-time character, that was her purpose. i think the owl is dead, that's just me. he sunk the building and took himself and the professor with him. he doesn't have a purpose anymore, apart from people's fan fiction and theories.

the sand people still have a purpose. they have to tell them all about the people who they sold appa to, they have to escort them out of the desert. they owe aang big time. it's not like Jun or the owl at all.

You think the owl died? The immortal spirit?

He brought the library to the mortal plan and he was simply taking it back with him to the spirit world.

But we will see in a few weeks won't we so till then...

who said the owl was immortal? i didn't hear anyone say the owl was immortal. when did anyone say the owl was immortal?

if you mean that he's a spirit, and is therefore immortal, may i remind you of Seige of the North, Part 2.

He was removing his library from the mortal plan and putting it back in the spirit world. Nothing happened to him that made him die.

besides getting crushed by a million pounds of sand? besides that you mean?

    Sokka: he's sinking the building!

Professor: great spirit! i beg you, do not destroy your valuable collection of blah blah blah...

point is, he destroyed the tomes, he sunk the building. i don't think he was bringing the library back to the spirit world, i think he sunk the building and destroyed all the tomes, because he didn't want anyone to abuse his knowledge again, and took himself and the professor with him.

I agree, the owl sunk the library and he and the professor just happened to go down with it and won't come back! Back to the topic, the sand benders have to escort them out because they are terrified of Aang and they said they would!!!!!

That is what will probably happen. And the fact that the sandbenders don't have any boats on hand now that Aang busted them all.

There's still one boat. The one they used. It was behind them.
The sand benders I think won't leave them. You're a fool if you leave him I think. I dont think Aang's group would also be happy with the sand benders. Especially after what happened. Toph sure is pissed.

yeah, they'd probably be afraid to travel with the furociously pissed avatar, but they should probably be more afraid to leave him behind.
