No Lee didn't know anything about him. It was the old creepy village man with the weird eyes who said he heard about Zuko. Maybe they just guessed his name was Zuko? Aang: I wonder what that guy's name is who wants to capture us is? Katara: Hmmmm.... Sokka: I know, *raises finger dramatically* WE'LL CALL HIM ZUKO! Katara: Ah, it's worth a shot. That's a pretty hot name so I hope it is his real name! Aang: So what's wrong with my name? Aang not enough for you?
No, I meant the part when Zuko says he's the prince of the fire nation and then the little boy said no you're not, you were thrown out or something like that.

lol Sokka does have some good ideas every now and then.

Aang didn't hear his name either, well it wasn't shown on the show, but it could be possible. Actually, here another question, how did Katara know that was Zuko docking on Kyoshi Island? He didn't come out yet and she already knew it was.

Who's posting off topic? The initial perpose of this thread was a discussion on how the gang knew Zuko's name. That's what we have been discussing. Many people just??read the first post and then skim the rest. If you wanted others to see your second question either go to the Ask a Question, Get an Answer thread, or put it in you original post. As long as we're posting on what you originally asked, we're not off topic.

Yep, that's how it happened. And for the record I have NEVER and will NEVER ship any pairing. I just like poking fun at the whole concept. Next week I'll probably post something Kataang, but I am NOT a Kataang shipper!!

Sokka does occassionally have a good idea now and then. What would we do without Sokka?

It's time to get back on topic. Well saying as the Southern Tribe was pretty isolated from the world, it would be hard for anyone there to know of Zuko, no matter how popular he is. It's just a goof I guess. Can't think of any other reason unless one of Zuko's guards spoke Zuko's name while Aang was in captivity there, which wasn't very long.

Maybe Aang saw Zuko's name in the ship somewhere I mean the writing in Avatar is Chinese or something right? not like if we saw Zuko's name written down we would even be able to tell what it says...

What about a FN wanted poster? I think he's had one, at least, since "The Deserter". He could have had one for a while and they saw it during their travels.

It's possible it happened off camera.?? Iroh could have asked or said something to Zuko using his name while Aang.?? "What now, Prince Zuko?"?? It's a copout, but it's somewhat believable.

Yeah, Sokka's the man with the plan!

Anyway, I think they would know something about the FireNation. Remember the Storm episode where Aang was taking away from...oh forget what I said. Zuko wasn't even born yet. lol Now this just doesn't make any sense. Aang definitely didn't know Zuko's name. He didn't learn it while be captured and he sure didn't know it while being frozen in a huge iceberg tht should have give him at least some brain damage. lol It looks like we have a small flaw in the script here.

And Kataang is NEVER going to happen!

Quick lesson on debate and basic discussion.?? You should be presenting your reasons for why the statement is wrong.?? "You are wrong" is not an answer.?? It suggests more that you don't know what you are talking about, but you want to try to appear superior to someone.

C'mon everybody! there's a simple answer to this topic! Doesn't he just LOOK like a 'Zuko'? He does to me! Seriously Katara just realized the obvious. Then again when I first watched Avatar my first impulse was more of a Zokon. Sounds kinda star-treky doesn't it?

Because I too have rewatched "The Avatar Returns" thinking maybe when he disembarked on his ship that he might have said "I am Prince Zuko" or something like that, I have to admit, thoughout all the previous episodes leading up to "Warrior of Kyosi" where Katara says his name, it is DEFINITELY not mentioned in the gangs presence, onscreen anyway.

BUT I would like to point out that nice red flag flying on his ship when he lands on the Southern Water Tribe, looks to me to be the same flag that is on Azula's ship on the same flag we see hanging in Zuko's chambers. And I'm not talking about the Fire Nation flag, I"m talking about that other one that has a bunch of stuff on it - is that possibly the banner symbolizing the Royal Family? IF so, then it could be assumed that they knew the royal family members names and concluded from the flag. Just a theory.

He's tossing out a theory.?? Almost none of the theories said make much sense, but we still give them due respect.?? I don't see what doesn't make sense.?? My impression was VincentMagius was referring to how the guy in the Earth Kingdom village in Zuko Alone knew his name.?? Maybe the family of the Firelord is common knowledge as someone else said.?? That and some form of heraldry may be how he is recognized.?? You still haven't provided any substantial form of rebuttal for why VincentMagius was incorrect, thus your opinion is worthless.
