All those henchman from the fire nation who failed to capture or restrain Aang were probably executed without hesitation. Think about their families and the couriered scroll they would receive a few days later saying that Barney had failed the nation and was burnt alive. Now his kids starve and his wife has to become a lady of the night. Can't be helped though - all is fair in love and the fire nation versus one bender. |
In ym opinion, Aang probably HAS killed a lot of peopl inderictly, eith as a result of his actions, or him getting away, but most he probably doesn't know about.?? And if he does know about any of them, he's an Airbender, and the idea of killing someone sickens him, as it si his nature to be gentle, so if he DOES know that he's killed anybody, he?? tries his best not to think about it.?? He killed many while in the Avatar State at the North Pole, which probably just adds to his nightmares, the poor guy.?? The show, at the end of next season, will probably include Aangst about killing Ozai, and it will probably get pretty emotional, possibly with Aang beginning to get nightmares few weeks before he's to go fight Ozai, and maybe Katara having to comfort him, I dunno.?? But if he has killed anybody from his actions other that at the North Pole, it would be every hard, as he is gentle, and people don't die quite as easily in the Avatar world as in ours.

Jet isn't dead! If he were, there would have much more fuss following his 'death' than there was. Well, I suppose I can not fully substansiate that theory until the next episode (can't wait) where hopefully it will be cleared up.
Thank you for noting the little kiddies. I had not been thinking of them in relation to the defeat of the FL. I don't think he will die, as such due to the complaints the networks are likely to receive from irrate parents. I've just had another idea.
I've been a supporter of killing the FL and finishing Avatar. Now I'm thinking that Aang could possibly transcend the FL so he is detached from the real world in a limbo between say the spirit world and real world via the comet. In this existence he is powerless, alone and exists barely even as a spirit of human. Now he is neither dead nor alive allowing Avatar to end happily or continue indefinately.

I think the only way to go with the whole "kill Ozai" thing, is too well kill him. No stupid "I'll let you live if you just sit down and think about what you've done, then you can get a cookie".??If they really want to go out with a "baang", then there's gotta be some good old fashioned "you die today", and no smaoke screen like on Jet, full out right in your face, he died. Not saying he has blood squirting out all over the floor (ah man just mopped) but seriouslly, even if they have to put one of those stupid warnings in the begining of the show, that little tikes might not want to see it, then by all means, go go go! We need a good old fashioned properly done right there, no guess work, DEATH! Thank you. |
