again with the whol burning down the earth. it was the comet doing everything. fire is uncontrollable and will spread all it needs is someone to light it. ta-dah there was ozai. even aang couldve done that just unleash crazy fire from the crazy power ur getting from like 10 suns put together. and azula to me is more pathetic than Zuko. because when zuko didnt have anybody he didnt go all psycho crazy and lost it like her. he may have a loose anger problem but he can control 10 times better than her. he is the bigger person in this entire show cuz he admitted his mistakes and fixed them. he turned on his own father when aang couldnt even turn on his people and what they taught him. zuko has more will power and strength than azula and even aang. he is the firelords son he grew up learning evil and learning how to destroy and look at him now he turned on his whole life. and what azula gets backstabbed by her friends whom she hadnt even heard of for years and she goes all crazy thats pathetic.

I thought Ozai kicked serious ass. I mean, he was like a one man Dresden firebombing.

And I just have to comment again on how cool his Phoenix epaulets were.

mad props for using the word epaulets, and yes, they were awesome. the magneto helmet he could have done without, though.

i thought he was very well portrayed. i was impressed by the strength of his character. ozai's a lot of things, but he's no hypocrite, and he's certainly no coward. he didn't do the stareotypical villain "begging for mercy" deal when he was beaten, he didn't take any cheap shots, and he never let go of his own ideal of what honor is. even without his bending, there's an unusual strength to his character in the end.

LeonMorado! It's great to see you again. I was still lurking when you left, but its great to see you back.

That's a good point about Ozai's character; even after his defeat he remained defiant. When Zuko came to visit him in his "lowly cell", there was no begging, no pleas that he could change and become good. Just a stony acceptance that he had lost.

Nobody, not even Iroh produced firebending as powerful as Ozai while the comet was passing over, pretty much clinching that Ozai is the most powerful firebender of the series.

Look at Jeong Jeong & Iroh who got the same boost, but still weren't as strong as Ozai. It's also how use that power. And it's not the fact that the comet gave him the power, it's the fact that with that power he decided to burn down everything.

Ozai seemed pretty intimidating until he showed his face.He seems scrawnier in season 3 than the previous ones.Ozai seemed large and burly in the shadows. Now he looks almost skinny. He went from being an evil entity in the shadows to a pathetic little phsyco like Azula.Yes Azula was an evil genius but was trully pathetic on the inside.

    Pathetic?!!! PATHETIC???!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call Ozai and Azula crazy, evil and beyond redemption if you wish, but never pathetic (if Azula was pathetic, then what does that make Zuko, who she managed to beat again).

If you can call a guy capable of burning down half the world pathetic, I really don't know what will please you. Ozai easily trumped Iroh as a bender, and I doubt anyone here will call iroh (or Zuko) pathetic.

Ozai's trick was the relentless will and energy for death and destruction that he drew from his twisted firebending. Once the firebnding was gone, so was all his power, all his will, drive, and energy.

What I mean is Azula is a brat who always has to get everything her way.She does have amazing strength.I was only refering to her pathetic spirit. When I called Ozai pathetic,I was refering to him after he lost his firebending.

Aang spared Ozai, yet he still tried to attempt to kill him after that. Not exactly the typical "please don't kill me" kind of villain.

You know now that I think of it, I think Ozai tried to scare Aang with his physique.

Well I really don't think Iroh's flaming ball of death and Ozai's giant flame streams are comparable since they were meant to do different things, and they did do different things. Part of the reason why Iroh took three breaths to make it was because he needed to condense the blast to break through the gigantic wall. Ozai had relative difficulty breaking through Aang's earth egg because he used his power inefficiently in that instance. Ozai wanted to scorch the earth not blast through to the other side- he didn't need to charge up as much. Maybe I just refuse to believe that Iroh, who has much more experience as a bender, is much weaker than his younger brother. I think that illusion is caused by Iroh's humble nature and their difference in bending style. Iroh's and Zuko's now is more reserved and defensive whereas Ozai and Crazy Azula are more apt to fire more (albeit more impressive looking) flames than necessary.

Also, Iroh's goal during the comet was to remove FN forces from Ba Sing Se, not burn it to the ground. Ozai just needed to swat the fly so he didn't need show restraint at all.
