Well, y'know, in the Avatar Online Card Game which you can get to from Distant Horizon (an Avatar fansite), there IS an airbender girl. I don't know if she is going to be an actual character in the anime, but I hope she is. Also, apparently female airbenders do not get an arrow tattoo. Or she may just not be a master. Also, she doesn't shave her head
But yeah, I dunno if Aang would marry her or not...

I'd hope female airbenders don't shave their heads. That's just not the style for a girl in my opinion.

Actually the female airbenders (namely the one seen in Appa's Lost Days) do shave their heads. If you notice, they have a rather large forhead. This comes from a hairstyle known as a tonsure, and was the traditional hairstyle of druids.

It basically involves shaving the front half of the head (towards the face) from ear to ear.
