    it very easy launch a few fireballs eg. zuko i ba sing se vs aang that should do the job or lightning against them aang fell to that

    plus not all of the air nomads lived at the temples(most likely a high % of the youth, about 20% of the young to middle age adults and about 60% of the elders were at the temples)
