    Ok my opinion, i've read the Wikipedia summery and it doesn't sound that band. Heres what I think,

    IF its true:

    From the Poll

    Option 1: Maybe, depending if Katara is naive and stupid as always and takes Aang's kiss from DOBS the wrong way, again. Not really a deep dark secret, but definetly some Kataang moments coming up in TSR or EIP. Its an issue that can't go unresolved until Sozin's comet.

    Option 2: Not a huge secret, nor dark and I can't see how its relevant to the plot.

    Option 3: Despite everyones opinion on this thread, this is blown completly out of the water by this quote.

    Anyway onto my opinion.

    Opinion 4: Combo of 1 and 3. See in that quote the reason he gave was not the right one. He didn't really say why he couldn't master it in the first place. What deep dark secret has Aang told no one, the real reason he couldn't master the Avatar state?

    Because he couldn't give up his earthly attachment to Katara. Aang gave up all the cosmic energy in the universe in order to keep his love for her

    Wow, how epic would that be if Aang actually revealed that to Katara? Can you imagine how that would make her feel. I think that the scene in which Katara breaks her and Aang's kiss (from NYCC trailer) is the scene where he tells her just that. What other reason do you think she could have pulled back (I can think of others, but neva mind) so suddenly? Imagine wat she would be thinking.

    'It's cus of me you can'tgo into the Avatar state? Oh god'

    Anyways So Katara finds out that hidden secret. In the SAME episode she finds out what happned to her mother from Hakoda. Bryke did say it was going to be a tear jerker. Honoustly, I think this episode is going to be EPIC in terms of revelations.

    You're totally right and by posting this message, you've proven the major FAIL of my post. However, I was right about Aang having to admit his earthly attachment to Katara being more important to him then the cosmic energy and therefor the avatar state. I feel bad about my fail, but I feel good about the last bit of my post LOL!

    But seriously, thanks a lot matrix_mind for that post. People like you make these forums worth checking out!

    I seriously doubt Aang would reveal that he loves Katara that early, so it will probably be that he never mastered the Avatar state. Or it might be "other"... you just never know. *dramatic music*

    in my opinion I am leaning toward the whole romantic thing with katara....it is kinda one of his secrets....though the whole avatar state thing is quite possible too....or we can just find out that he is actually a giant cat

    It sounds like to me, Aang basically told them that his 7th chakra was locked by Azula striking him with lightning. He could've told them about the chakras...

    I don't know. lol I'm leaning towards the Avatar State not being mastered or Aang's love for Katara.

    Based on my previous rant, about the scene from NYCC Finale trailer of them kissing, I know I mentioned that I thought it might be in 316, but I change that opinion. I think that Aang might try to kiss Katara in 317.

    What does this have to do with secrets and issues? Alot actually. I came across an intersting point. Remember in 317 Ember Island Players that the Gaang are watching a play about themselves, presumably of Season 1 and 2. This means that the Gaang are witnessing ALL the events, of the past few months that happened, not just what they witnessed. I know the play is a bit stupid from the 7 minute clip, but I reckon there will be scenes in the play that will reveal certain events that happned to the other members of the Gaang, or prompt them to talk about certain past events. I mean we already saw Suki get miffed at Sokka in the Yue scene. lolz
    *Teary eyed Sokka: Shhhhhhhh i'm trying to watch.

    I mean how funny would it be if they played up the whole Cave of Two Lovers Scene? I would LOVE to see the Gaang's reaction to that, as only Katara and Aang know about it. Additionally, certain facts from Season 2 may be brought upin the play,(Avatar State?) that will prompt Aang to talk about certain THINGS he has been keeping from Katara. SO what ya think?

    I'm just glad we will have it all resolved one way or another in another month. I've never been so glad to see something finally spin itself out in all my life. I just want the end of Aang's story, then I can choose if I want to get excited about the live-action movies or a possible Avatar spinoffs in the year 2022, because knowing Nick that's how long we'll be waiting for it.
