    I understood what you were conveying, but as a political science major the hypocrisy of the electorate is sometimes confounding. Also, I was not trying to pick on you. I simply wanted to stop this thread from becoming a flamebait, political thread.

    He effictively called it a "Japanese anime." The anime part is bad enough, but that he referred to it as Japanese...not cool.

    We're really just going to have to get used to the fact that people are always going to see Avatar as an anime. Star Wars was forced to resign itself long, long ago to being thought of as Science Fiction (which it is not), similarly, we must put up with being dubbed an anime

    I am not upset that it is referred to as an anime. Honestly, I could not care less. I am, however, worried that the anime nerds will catch wind of this and flame about it. They are damn adamant that Avatar is not an anime.

    i think avatar is animated better than most anime shows...anime is very jerky and framy...ya know? i dont know the technical terms but avatar is drawn more smoothly than most animated shows.

    I have. But I'm not going to argue. It's against some policy really...
    But I will say this:
    There are certain things that aren't drawn realistically or animated realistically in animes. Like sometimes there's the eyebrows through the hair, and odd colors of hair, incomplete looking lips, random pointy places, and lastly oddly shiny things. I'm not saying that they're badly animated, just that out of everything animated that I have seen, Avatar's always going to be the top for me.
