Aang can do much better than Katara

    First off I still belive Aang gave up Katara. And even if he doese start having feelings again here is my advise find some one eless there are other girls besides Katara! Sorry Kataang fans but Katara just likes him as a firend so Aang dont embarees your self any further!

    Well, we're all entitled to our opinions. But it's really up to the creators to decide whether that is going to be fact or not.

    Personally, I don't want Aang to end up with anyone as more than a??friend for the simple reason that he is the Avatar, the embodiment of the planet, and he can't lead the same life that normal people do. But that's just my opinion.

    Well, here's how I view it. Mind you, it's just an opinion.
    Since Aang is the embodiment of the planet, then technically he really isn't human. He wasn't brought into existance to love, he was brought into existance to protect balance. And for that one reason only.

    However, there's is another possibility that I've been thinking about. Maybe the Avatar is the spirit of the planet imbued into a human child. So, the first Avatar was only a normal child in which the spirit went into. After that, the spirit jumped from child to child, taking the spirit of the person with it after the person died. So in this theory, the Avatar Spirit is a collection of the past Avatars, and also the Avatar Spirit itself. If this was true, then he would indeed be human, just with a specific occupation. So, in this case, it would be okay for him to get married.

    It's really a matter of circumstances, in my opinion.

    Can't argue with you to much because for the most part you opinion is very well thought out and precise.

    The only mian concern is that, even though aang is the avatar, can't he still have a normal life out side of just being the avatar. I know he has to put his feelings aside to use the full strength of the avatar state, and that just fine-technically feelings just stop potential and you can't truely fight with someone yanking your arm. If the circumstances were different, aang not the avatar, then I could see a relationship for katara and Aang, for all you kataang fans out there but since its not then they just have to put thier feeling on hold at least until the avatars duties are fullfilled.

    I understand both sides of this arguement and in both cases there is a pretty huge amount of evidence to support it but the fact of the matter is that the avatar has to sacrifice the feelings he has for katara, or for anyone, and concentrate on saving the nations from the fire nation and ending the war before the meteor comes.

    I think katara feels more at ease with Zuko then with anyone.

    It's Aang's job to be the avatar and do all that stuff. And anyway, if he doesn't give up Katara and he happens to lose against Ozai, it's obvious him and his friends are either gonna die horrible deaths, or live out the res of their lives in a horrible horrible world because Aang chose Katara over better chances at defeating the fire lord.

    Although, the good guy always wins, so we know he's gonna stop Ozai, stop the war and bring peace to the world, and that somehow, someway, he's GONNA end up with Katara. So I don't know why the **** the creators make it seem like he's giving her up, or is GOING to. We already ******* know that ship is gonna happen no matter what, so I don't know why people are even asking if Aang is gonna give her up. We already know how the series is going ot end, we only watch it because we want to know HOW it's gonna reach that end. Kataang will happen, Aang will stop the war and be able to have a love life anyway, the end.

    If Aang doesn't get a love life, he might end up the Micheal Jackson or??a Cathiloc Priest. Though being a Avatar is a tough Job withlong nights and weekends but at some point he going to need someone to come home and relax with!
