If you want to go for spirit, Aang is over 1,000 years old. But physically and mentally (and hormonally) he is only 12. Aang's 12 and the Avatar, he has other things to worry about than love. Twelve year olds in love does not feel right. I don't really ever recall a show (a regular cartoon) which the age difference between characters who are "interested" in each other is two years. Danny-Sam, Timmy-Trixie (well Timmy's interested in her...), Jimmy-Cindy...I'm just saying. This really has nothing to do with anything and I DON'T ship any couple.

the avatar world has a different culture than our modern world...older women marry younger men. we still don't know if katara likes aang more than a sweet little friend or crush or love. i wanna see aang turn 13 in this series-and perhaps go thru puberty. aang is not a pedophile, he has LIVED for 112 years but his physical, mental, emotional, social age is 12. a grown man needs to be aged??similarly to his lived age of (insert??age of man here)??in all of those things.

Thank you. And why is it so wrong for a 12 year old boy to be with a 14 year old girl. Aang and Katara are only two years apart, well, so is Zuko and Katara. She's 14 and he's 16, but no one is talking about that. Is it because guys in the old days here married girls decades younger than them? And that old guys like younger girls, sick but true with those perverts out there. You don't see older women fawn over younger boys unless there sick in the head. Besides, on the show, everyone still refers to Aang as 12. I remember on Slimetime Fridays, during trivia, when the question was: "How old is Aang?" The answer was 12, not a 112, just 12.

I don't think Aang is a pedophile... but what did bother me was how young those girls looked like in Kyoshi Island... the ones who were obsessed with Aang... seriously, they looked like what seven... and they were all like half his height.

it is almost basically like if a 12 year old man of today got a time machine and went 100 years in the future to 2108

he is still 12, but if authorities did his fingerprints and got his identity, they technically can say he is 112

I am sure the "Dai Li" in here(let those with knowledge understand what I mean)would go by the "letter of the law" and say Aang is 112, while those with common sense follow spirit of the law and say Aang is 12

My aunt married someone two years younger than her, my sister married someone 4 months younger than her, and some guy in my church married someone 5 years older than him. And my brother is dating someone 5 years older than him.
