my cousin who is not a big a fan as I brought up a point that surprised me, so that must mean he likes the show now!
but anyways this is what he said and it made sense.
he said Zuko is playing along just long enough to figure out where his mom is or what happened to her.?? or will realize his mistake if Azula tells him something horrible about their moms dissapearance.
I like your theory. But I always thought he betrayed them, so he could get Azula's trust and suprise attack her.
