This is what I predict will happen from The Earth King to the season's last episode.
Long Feng should be defeated in The Earth King. Aang and the gang receive the letter and venture off on Appa to the Eastern Air Temple by the end of the episode, or about to.
The Guru begins and the gang are just arriving at the temple when they meet up with the Southern Water Tribe fleet, Sokka stays with his father while the rest go to the temple.
The Guru teaches Aang with a definitive lesson on how to be the Avatar.
It's time for Aang and the gang to go back to Ba Sing Se, but they leave Appa with the Guru in the Eastern Air Temple (there's no way they're carrying that beast around in the fire nation next season).
Seeking transportation back to Ba Sing Se, the Aang gang team up with the Southern Water Tribe fleet and reach the city only to find out of Azula's unfolding diabolicle plot on the conquest of this city, and most importantly the conquest of this impending war. The Guru should end a little after this.
Time of day: late morning-afternoon to early evening.
The Crossroads of Destiny starts after this, however the order of events in this episode are hard to trace at this time.
Stopping of Azula's plot and intertwining of destinies between Zuko and Aang, and maybe some exclusive shipper moments? Also, the Toph-hunters may come. The Avatar State and the Spirit World could be reinforced. A heck of alot will be going on. We're just going to have to wait and find out...
