For all you who are just so sure of yourselves that without that scar Zuko would've stayed good, go back to page one and look at what Inu_Rose posted. Zuko knew Katara could heal him and he still sided with his sister. So yes, five more minutes and the water would've been wasted., and Aang would be dead.

damn why couldn't aang just wait 5 minutes longer

    *Kataang Islam Jihad*

    KILL THE ZUTARIAN INFIDEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...Hey, quick question...Where'd all the Jetara's and Kataru's go??

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I don't think Zuko's scar would be healed either way. A scar is a healed wound, sore, or burn. Katara may have the power of healing but can she heal something that has already been healed?

That's why its called a special healing water. There are some cases where wounds heal without scars and others heal with scars. I think a scar means that you were partly healed. If katara would have used the special healing water, Zuko would have been fully healed. But, as i said before, i prefer Zuko with the scar. It completes him.

All hail Zuko: The Shirtless, Scarred, Angsty Prince!

i don't think the scar would have vanished a single bit when katara used that water to revive aang (yes he was death ask pooldude) the back of his hole was still there so i think that water only could bring the death back (within a limited time ofcourse) but had no healing power (weird???)

I'm saying that scars are fully healed wounds, sores, or burns. You can't heal the healed.

I'm saying that scars are fully healed wounds, sores, or burns. You can't heal the healed.
"Scars are areas of fibrous tissue that replace normal skin (or other tissue) after destruction of some of the dermis. A scar results from the biologic process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. With the exception of very minor lesions, every wound (e.g. after accident, disease, or surgery) results in some degree of scarring.

Scar tissue is not identical to the tissue which it replaces and is usually of inferior functional quality. For example, scars in the skin are less resistant to ultraviolet radiation, and sweat glands and hair follicles do not grow back within scar tissue. A Myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, causes scar formation in the heart muscle which leads to loss of muscular power and possibly heart failure. However, there are some tissues (e.g. bone) which can heal without any structural or functional deterioration, and in fact bone tissue may be structurally stronger after a break."~God bless Wikipedia. Anyone who can translate this deserves a metal...

it just means that skin and muscle scar tissue grows back weaker/less functional??than normal, some tissues grow back the same, and bore grows back even stronger.

i guess if the writers think of a scar as a wound that hasn't finished healling but just stopped healing instead, then it would be possible to heal a scar. zuko without his scar would still be lame, though.

Yeah, it would be. On the digitally re-thingamajiggyed pics of Zuko w/outhis scar, he looks like Jet....Kinda creepy....

Yeah true I guess. But is Ba Sing Se really "conquered" I mean sure Azula is sitting on the throne, but are the thousands of people that live in Ba Sing Se just gonna be like "Well she may be a ruthless, crazy, sadistic firebending b****, but she is our new queen so we will follow her til our deaths, which she will prolly cause." While possible, I doubt she will truly conquer BSS w/o a revolt of some kind.
Here's a thought, the last scene we saw of zuko was when he seemed really unsure of what he did; azula was saying that he had "restored his honor" but he was still seeming to think otherwise especially about iroh. I bet he was beating himself up about his betrayal, no i think he'll rethink his decision and turn good, after all, the writers wouldn't just waste a whole season showing all this metamorphisis stuff just for it to be ruined with one bad choice

**Prays to all things Out There** Please let the writers not be so stupid as to have gone through several storyboards and killed thousands of trees for scripts just to have Zuko back from the first season, except dumber.
