May I ask again since I've been out of the forum what is the refuge? Or is it the first rule of thr Refuge never to talk bout the refuge and the second one is never ever...Eh whatever it sounds pretty interesting.

It is 227 days from the start date to the end date...

That seems like the total amount of time that, I estimate, have passed since Katara and Sokka freed Aang from the iceberg.

They started their journey in winter. Book 2 took place in Spring probably. And Book 3 is in the summer.

And if you do the math, 30x9=270. So about 270 days have gone by.

How did you work out they started there journey right at the very begining of Winter and ended it on the very last day of Summer?

I don't mean exactly, it was just an estimation. Normally it would probably would taken a few weeks, a month tops, to get to the Northern Pole, but with their detours and Zuko chasing them, it probably took significantly longer than that.

But trying to figure it out exactly isn't going to work because there are a good number of plotholes, and a lot of the timelines rarely make sense.

I love Bryke, but they should have been paying a little bit more attention to their timelines.

Well to be fair it's not really that important. I just think they shouldn't have made each season relate to a...season..(damn this is confusing) because of the inherent plotholes.

I don't think they did specifically, it just worked out like that.

It's the overall timelines that bugged the crap out of me. In "Zuko Alone", why did they say that Azulon had ruled for 23 years? He had been ruling for much longer than that. Script screwup?

didnt the day of black sun take place on August 9???
oh wait...forget it. thats what the scroll sokka took said. the chase was march 21
if the day of black sun took place on August 9, then nightmares and daydreams started on August 5, and i think the puppetmaster was the day before, which was august 4. not sure though

Like I said, trying to think about it will probably break your brain. Bryke are good with continuity with some stuff, but the measuring of time seemed to get lost somewhere.

And August 9, huh? Cool, that's my mom's birthday.

August 9th wouldn't be right. It would only give Aang like 3 weeks to learn firebending. It had to be earlier than that.

But yeah, don't think about it too much.

Well to be fair, he IS the avatar. Sure, it took Roku much longer to master all four, but it could simply be that Aang is much more intelligent than he lets on, or simply possesses an incredible memory.
